Who is Student Moverz?

Student Moverz is a Central Illinois-based, moving and storage service offering an alternative to the conventional ways of the housing process for students and their families Since 2009. How does your service work?

You must first purchase one of our services online to reserve space for our services. After completing your order Student Moverz will lead you through the entire move-out process.

You will be able to select a move out and move in date and time that fits your schedule best. During move out week, we will come right to your room to collect your moving and storage items. Storage items will be stored in a storage facility near your campus for the summer and delivered to your new address on your delivery date.

STORAGE

Can I store my computer?

Yes. We recommend you pack it in its original box. If you no longer have the boxes, you may use our boxes with plenty of packing materials for extra cushioning.

Can I store my furniture?

Yes. Student Moverz stores most types of furniture. Bikes, trunks, rugs, refrigerators, shelves, futons, desks, filing cabinets, chairs and more! Please refer to “Items we accept for moving and storage” on our Moving and Storage Agreement for more information.

Do you have restrictions on the types of things that can be stored?

Yes. Hazardous materials, liquids, jewelry, cash, firearms, and valuables cannot be stored with Student Moverz. All packages must be packed appropriately and in accordance with our Moving and Storage Agreement.

Do you offer extended storage?

We currently only offer storage for the months of May, June, July and August.

Where are your storage facilities located?

Our professionally managed storage facilities are within driving distance from campus.

Can I access my belongings during the summer?

Yes. Access is possible with one week notice. Because this involves additional labor, there is an extra fee to arrange this service. Please check our pricing page for current costs.

BOXES AND SUPPLIES

Do you provide packaging supplies?

Yes. Every customer has the option to purchase boxes from us. We will bring additional boxes with us to pick up your items, as well as packaging tape and markers.

How many boxes do you recommend I purchase?

We require that most non-furniture items be stored in boxes. For a complete box list refer to “boxes” section in our Moving and Storage Agreement.

PICKUP AND DELIVERY

When will I be able to select a pickup and delivery time?

You will be able to choose from a number of convenient pickup and delivery dates, which will occur during finals week and several days prior to the start of classes. Pickup and delivery times are normally posted by April 25th. You may sign up for your pickup and delivery when you order the package. We will notify via email all registered customers who have not selected a pickup or delivery time after these times have been posted.

Do you pickup directly at my door?

Yes, as long as you are registered with us and your school’s administration will allow our movers into the dorms. Our movers will come to your door to pick up your moving and storage items. We’ll make sure your boxes are properly labeled, and we’ll complete the necessary paperwork. The process should take no longer than 5 to 10 minutes.

I live off-campus. Can you pick up my things?

No. Student Moverz only picks up customers from on-campus housing.

What if I can’t be present for a pickup or delivery?

In your absence, you can have a friend be present during a pickup or delivery. You can NOT leave your items inside your dorm room for pickup. If our mover cannot get in touch with you, or a friend or roommate that you designate, we will not be able to pick up or deliver your items. If our mover cannot gain entry to a location that you designate as a delivery location, your items will be brought back to our warehouse and you will have to schedule a re-delivery, as well as pay a missed delivery fee.

Will you have extra boxes when you come to my room?

During move-out week, we may have extra supplies available for purchase on our trucks. However, we do not guarantee that we will have any supplies left, so make sure to purchase extra box online.

What if I don’t know my fall address prior to your picking up my things?

If you don’t know your delivery address at the time of pickup, we will contact you no later than 7 days before your delivery date.

PRICING & PAYMENT

How much do your services cost?

Our prices are set on a per package basis. Only one person’s items may be moved and stored per package. All storage prices include door-to-door pickup and delivery and storage throughout the summer semester. Please review the “Pricing” section of our Moving and Storage Agreement for more information. Features such as door-to-door pickup and delivery and professional movers make Student Moverz the best value on campus.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa cards. We use Paypal to securely accept your credit card information.

Do you accept cash?

We give the option of paying cash for any additional fees that may be incurred during the pick up and delivery processes.

How do you prepare my final bill?

Following the pickup of your items, we will process any additional charges incurred (like extra supplies or conditional future items) and according to the prices contained in the “Pricing” and “Items we accept for moving and storage” section of our Moving and Storage agreement. You may pay any additional charges in cash or with credit or debit cards. No checks accepted. We will email once the credit or debit charges have been processed.

Can I cancel my service?

Yes. See Contact Us. You can either submit a form requesting cancellation of service or see other contact information. See our “Pricing” section in our Moving and Storage Agreement for any additional fees that may or may not be assessed to your account for cancellation.

Are there any additional fees?

In certain cases. Student Moverz charges additional fees only in cases where we incur additional costs. These fees can usually be avoided if you plan ahead of time. Most importantly, make sure you are in your room during your scheduled delivery time. See our “Pricing” section in our Moving and Storage Agreement for a full list of the additional fees that can be charged.
